List of Past Thea
Award Recipients Thea awards have been given since 1994. However, in the first two years of the award, only one award was given. These were presented to two pioneers in our industry as "lifetime achievement" awards. It wasn't until 1996 that the Themed Entertainment Association began presenting Thea Awards to actual attractions...of all sorts. The first Lifetime Achievement Thea (in 1994), went to: Harrison "Buzz" Price In 1995, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to: Marty Sklar Beginning, then, in 1996, TEA
began giving multiple awards each year...for lifetime achievement and
